Responsibilities

  • Working with highly agile team of product managers, designers, engineers, and architects
  • Development of scalable middle tier services, components and API development
  • Transforming requirements into functional components connecting frontend and backend
  • Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable server side code
  • Ensure performance, quality, and responsiveness of the applications
  • Focus on continuous improvement by identifying bottlenecks and issues, and coming up with solutions
  • Focus on code quality, organization, and automation
  • Load testing and stress testing of the middle tier

 

The ideal candidate must have 3-5 years of software development experience using

  • Java and Enterprise Java (Java 8, Servlets, JSP)
  • Index/search frameworks (Lucene, Solr, ElasticSearch)
  • Data frameworks (Hibernate/ORM, Spring, Drop Wizard, XML/XSL)
  • AWS (IAM, CloudFront, EC2, SES, S3, Aurora, RedShift, Glue, Kinesis)
  • Complex database queries on SQL and no-SQL databases
  • API design and development
  • Siege, JMeter and Apache Bench
  • Object oriented programming, data structures, design patterns, and algorithms

 

Plus

  • BS/MS degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
  • Scala, Spark, Python
  • Graph databases (Neo4j, TitanDB, JanusDB, BlazeGraph, Tinkerpop)
  • Java certification
